Join us as we revisit the entire iconic 90’s Scholastic series - all 64 books, in sequence - including Megamorphs, Alternimorphs and the various Chronicles. Episodes are read in sequence, with a spoiler-free guarantee. Read along with us, or just revisit the plot through our recaps. We’ll be talking through the book plots and themes, how well the series holds up, ways these stories shaped us, and how profoundly the world has changed since 1996. You can expect amateur cultural criticism, 90’s nostalgia.... and lots of body horror. People Change, but our love for The Animorphs endures. - About the hosts: Jared and Maggie met in 2015, as roommates in Taipei. Since returning to the US and Canada, they've been living in different countries for the past decade. When Maggie received the entire Animorphs book series as a gift in Feburary 2021 they decided to read through the series together as a way to keep in regular touch through the COVID-19 pandemic. Jared finished the series as a kid, while Maggie only read the first 25 or so in elementary school and never finished the books. As a result, our takes are a combination of nostalgic re-read and first time revelation. The Andalite reinforcements should arrive any day now. Until then, keep reading! ~ J&M
